MR D.I.Y., Malaysia’s beloved do-it-yourself store, has captured the attention of KL-ites with a colossal inflatable iron soaring over the city skyline. This eye-catching event marks the launch of MR D.I.Y.’s latest initiative, aptly named “Big & Small, MR D.I.Y Has It All” / “Kecil & Besar, MR D.I.Y. Ada.” Stretching an impressive 16 x 7.5 x 8 metres, the inflatable iron graces the scenic Taman Tasik Titiwangsa and will remain in place until October 15, 2023. Recognised by the Malaysia Book of Records as the ‘largest inflatable iron in Malaysia,’ it serves as the centrepiece for showcasing MR D.I.Y.’s extensive product range.
Apart from the iron, the retailer has also placed other giant installations in some of the city’s high-traffic areas, including an interactive water tap at Dataran Merdeka, where visitors can draw drinking water; a paint roller and battery charger at Bukit Bintang; a giant Disney tumbler at Mid Valley Megamall, and a dinosaur plush toy, and football at MyTown Cheras. the installations serve the dual purpose of informing the public of the initiative, and for them to win prizes through the #KecilBesarMRDIYada Snap & Win Contest. All contestants have to snap a photo at one of the installations, upload it on social media with the KecilBesarMRDIYada hashtag, and submit it on the contest microsite.
